The BESIX Potential Academy 

In partnership with Solvay Brussels School & Vlerick Business School, we created the BESIX Potential Academy to empower our experts and managers through business seminars. "BESIX Potential Academies" are organized within the Group to provide business school programs to our young and mid-career potentials. Potentials are carefully selected according to their performance and ambitions within the Group. They can then attend business courses and complete a practical interactive program tailor-made for the Group's activity.

The BESIX Potential Academy One and Two provide a unique platform for potentials in BESIX Group who have shown the ability, attitude and ambition to advance both in their personal development and in their careers. The potentials who took part in this tailor-made and high-level management course were given a golden opportunity. Now, who will be next?

One of the 2015 BESIX Potential Academy One projects, BESIXpedia is an online collaboration tool that enables BESIX colleagues to share their real-life experiences. The interactive platform aims to close the gap between internal know-how and its distribution throughout our organization. Not only does BESIXpedia present best practices and real-life experiences, it also contains links to BESIX knowledge databases and sharing solutions, such as IMs, TKM, Technical Library and Salesforce.

Since its opening, the CuBe on the Dubai Canal project has been used for weekly site meetings with our partners. The reactions to the CuBe were unanimously positive. Visitors love the display of BESIX’s worldwide achievements and the inside information on the Dubai Canal Project. This feedback helped us to further improve the concept. Early 2016, we hope to open a second CuBe along the Al Rayyan road project in Qatar and a third one on the iconic Royal Atlantis site.

BESIX iD, one of the 2014 BESIX Potential Academy One groups, thought up a creative way to promote BESIX and its achievements to all stakeholders. Their idea: CuBe, a multi-purpose facility for internal staff meetings and business site visits. In 2015, following approval from the Executive Committee, BESIX launched the first CuBe as a place to interact, connect and share the BESIX experience – yet another example of the Group’s dedicated talent management strategy!

“BESIX EXPERIENCE IN PROJECT ROLL-OUT” (BE PRO) is our tool developed especially for all employees interested in getting insight into BESIX know-how. This e-learning tool is based on the combined efforts of many of our senior managers and specialists. Their input enabled us to create a specific course dedicated to project management. The new tool plays a key role: keeping you informed about key aspects in the management of our exciting construction projects.
