In response to tightening energy regulations in Flanders - particularly the PV obligation for high-consumption sites by April 1, 2026 - BESIX Infra and BESIX Unitec have taken a decisive step toward sustainability. By investing in solar energy, the companies not only comply with legal requirements but also reinforce their commitment to decarbonization and brand leadership.
BESIX Power, in collaboration with its installation company Energieconcepten, developed, financed, and installed a 420 kWp solar power plant on the Schelle site of its subsidiaries. The installation features 715 solar panels across 3,700 m² of roof space. The system powers the entire charging park, workshops, warehouses, and offices with 100% green electricity. An intelligent curtailment system ensures optimal performance even when electricity prices drop, making the installation both flexible and future-proof.
