Triangle: structural concrete works completed in Paris

The Triangle project in Paris, France, has just crossed a significant milestone. On Monday, November 24, the team carried out the final concrete pour on the 40th floor. After three and a half years of heavy construction, the tower’s concrete structure is now complete.

An extraordinary construction site

Since April 2022, the site has undergone a remarkable transformation. What began as a narrow plot just 200 metres long and 45 metres wide has evolved into a future architectural icon on the Paris skyline.

By the numbers:

  • 70,000 m³ of concrete

  • 2,000 columns

  • 1,600 precast beams and several hundred cast on site

  • 90,000 m² of slab surface

  • 6,668 façade panels installed out of the 8,300 planned

These achievements are the result of outstanding teamwork, bringing together design engineers, site engineers, and tradespeople working tirelessly in shifts from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

We don’t always take the time to appreciate the full extent of the effort involved, but at this key moment in the project, we want to offer a heartfelt thank you to everyone, past and present, who has worked relentlessly to get us to this point. Thank you! Now let’s tackle the next challenges together!

What's next?

The adventure is far from over. Our technical (CET) and architectural (CEA) trades are already hard at work across the three basement levels and forty completed floors, installing the modern comforts and interior finishes expected of a building of this scale.

Starting December 1st, the final stage of structural work have begun: the construction of the tower’s crown, comprising the last four levels in steel structure. Once completed, this crown will raise Triangle to its full height, 180 metres above ground, and secure its silhouette in the Paris skyline.

A bold and sustainable project

Designed by the Herzog & de Meuron studio, Triangle will house offices, a Radisson Blu hotel, retail spaces, a medical centre, a daycare facility, and an observation deck with a restaurant. Aiming for the highest environmental certifications, including BREEAM Outstanding, HQE Exceptional, and Effinergie, the building incorporates a range of innovative solutions: geothermal energy, photovoltaic panels, a double-skin façade, and one of Paris’s largest bicycle parking facilities.
