Project overview
The project comprises a landmark mixed‑use development featuring a six‑storey, four‑star hotel and a residential building with hotel‑serviced apartments and lofts. Designed to reflect its alpine setting, the development combines high‑quality architecture with natural materials.
Scope of works
BESIX, working in joint venture with Andermatt Swiss Alps AG, was responsible for the construction of the Gotthard Hotel & Residences. The works included a hotel offering 179 rooms, 12 lofts, a restaurant, bar, conference and event facilities, as well as a wellness centre with gym and indoor pool. The residential component comprises 103 hotel‑serviced apartments and six lofts. Wood and natural stone were extensively used for both interior and exterior finishes to echo the surrounding alpine landscape. The structural works were completed within a record period of 13 months.
