BESIX and its partner Dalkia Smart Building built Deloitte’s training center in Bailly-Romainvilliers, situated to the East of Paris. The building accommodates Deloitte’s university centre for employees based across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Designed by the DUBUISSON Architecture agency, the buildings cover an area of 22,OOO m², surrounded by green spaces and by a man-made lake with a total surface of 135,000 m². The main building includes a large multifunctional room, 43 classrooms, 12 meeting rooms, a restaurant and 265 bedrooms.

BESIX realised all construction works, which included earthworks, the structural and finishing works, civil engineering and foundation works. The construction works were carried out within a challenging period of 20 months only.

The building has been designed as to obtain five first-class certifications: BREEAM Excellent, Energie+ Carbone-, Biodiversity Excellent, Well Building Institute Gold and Cradle to Cradle. The building is powered to more than 40% by local green energy, provided by 1,100 m² solar panels.

Additionally, BESIX realised the landscape of the site, the gardens and the development of a wooded parc. These host a wide variety of local water and land plants. This area does not require external water supply, nor drilling operations as it is fed by rainwater.
