DPG Media's new headquarters building, erected by BESIX in just 19 months – a real challenge – is emblematic of the renovation and upgrading of the Kievitplein and the Antwerp Central Station district.
With a surface of 22,680 m² and rising to 46 metres, the building features four roof gardens offering a 360° view of the city. It has been designed to accommodate 1,000 people simultaneously, providing them with an open, creativity-inducing and flexible working environment. The ground floor includes public catering facilities and multimedia meeting places.
DPG Media is a multimedia group operating in Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark.
The original architecture of the building, with its transparent, multi-curved base, imposed significant constraints, both in terms of technology and in the choice of materials.
To these are added the specificities of a site that include a tunnel in the next-door basement and the presence of a listed monument.
