Nice Airport Promenade

A virtuous real estate development

Sector: Buildings

Designed by the American agency Arquitectonica, Nice Airport Promenade is the flagship project of the Grand Arénas, the new business district of Nice. Ideally located opposite Terminal 1 of Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport and at the western entrance to the Promenade des Anglais, the complex includes a 234-room, 4-star Sheraton hotel, the “La Table des Suds” restaurant and the “She's - Nice Sky Bar” rooftop bar, operated by Naos Hôtel Groupe, as well as ground floor retail space, residential units, an office building and underground car parks, for a total surface area of 25,000 m².

Building & Environmental Performance

Nice Airport Promenade is a virtuous project in environmental terms, designed in compliance with high standards (HQE, BREEAM, Eco-Vallée). In addition to the performance of the buildings themselves, particular attention has been paid to soil permeability and green spaces.

BESIX Expertise

The work, which began in 2019, was carried out by BESIX and included demolition, site clearance and earthworks, as well as the entire construction of the project, from the shell to the finishing touches. Prior to the signing of the contract, the in-house design office BESIX Engineering and its partners also developed variants on engineering and methodologies.

In addition to the challenges imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, this was a complex project, particularly because of its location, in direct proximity to the airport, a tramway line and the Promenade des Anglais, which reduced our room for manoeuvre in terms of accessibility, logistics and tower crane placement.
