Khalifa City School
Project overview
The Khalifa City School PPP project was procured through an augmentation framework under the existing Zayed City Schools public‑private partnership, which delivered three schools in 2024.
Due to significant demand, the new school had to be operational within a record timeframe. The preparation and structuring of this accelerated procurement approach marked a first for school infrastructure in the region.
Scope of works
The project comprises the design, build, finance, and 18‑year operation and maintenance of a modern educational campus accommodating 3,380 students. Working in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) and the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), BESIX‑Plenary delivered a value‑for‑money solution, successfully reaching commercial and financial close and ensuring the school is operational by 2026.
